about the artist

Born in Southern California, Bronwyn had a strong tie to the arts from early childhood. She began traditional sketching and oil painting training at the age of 10, and found a love of portraiture in her early teens.  She recieved her BA in Art Practice from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006.

Bronwyn began teaching her skills in drawing and painting in 2007, and in 2011 opened up Viridian Art Academy, a unique gem of an art school in Tarzana, CA with co-owner Maria Galloway. Along with several other local artists, they teach the fundamental techniques of drawing and painting to new budding artists who have a strong desire to learn. 

Despite her busy teaching schedule, Bronwyn still pursues her own craft, selling and commisioning paintings all over California. Her mystical sea creatures and electric sky scenes have a certain movement and vibrant, ethereal quality that is all her own, transporting you to a different state of mind, allowing the viewer to reach new heights and depths of perception.
